This is actually my very first attempt at blogging. It seems that it will be a good way to keep track of multiple aspects in my life. Word of fair warning... I tend to go in spurts - but I will post it all one way or another! Hopefully this blog will help to bring order to my life in ways I can only imagine.
Rather than having a diet blog, a stitching blog, a home repair blog, a food blog, AND a family blog - I am just going to jumble it all in one place. How else would I account for going multiple months without posting on anything that I've knitted or crocheted? Or account for the multiple months that sometimes go without working on home improvements? And oh yes, there will be many home improvements as our home was built in 1890!

Today, I share with you my FAVORITE photo of my dog, Chevy (yes that is the dog's name... we do live in metro-detroit ya know...). I took this photo when I first got my Nikon D3100 (a bit over a year ago now). It is an amature DSLR but still wonderful quality photos for a good hobby. He is a sweet boy and has a wonderful personality - I feel this picture really captured his demeanor. I also like the apperature setting -with the blurred background. Only downside to the photos is that it's a little orange toned. I don't mind because this photo was taken at my parent's house, which envokes feelings of warmth for me.
I really need to start taking photos again but my 18-55 lens is sticking around 35mm. I need to either get it fixed or get a new lens. Especially before I leave for Haiti! Lots of pictures to be taken there. Just one more thing for the to-do list! I'll share more about Haiti later... but I will say this much, I expect it to be life-changing.
